Quays Housing are looking for a strategic leader with a passion for social impact to help drive positive change in housing. The Chairperson will guide the Boards activities, foster a collaborative culture, and work closely with the Managing Director to steer strategic direction, governance, and performance, ensuring that the business fulfils its mission in line with its values, while maintaining compliance with regulatory and industry standards. Key Responsibilities Leadership & Governance : Provide effective Board leadership, promoting high standards of governance and compliance with NHF Code of Governance 2020. Strategic Oversight : Support strategic planning and corporate alignment, driving continuous improvement across the business. Executive Partnership : Develop a productive relationship with the Managing Director, ensuring accountability and performance alignment. Financial Oversight & Risk Management : Oversee financial integrity, risk frameworks, and compliance with financial policies. Board Development : Support Board succession planning, ensuring strong, qualified leadership and effective governance structures You will be required to attend a minimum of 6 bi-monthly (a mixture of online and in person) meetings per annum (usually Tuesday afternoons). The standard meeting calendar is set 12 months in advance.
