Quay View School is recruiting a Maintenance Assistant to join our dedicated maintenance team. We are looking for a passionate and skilled handyperson with a keen interest in maintenance, DIY and facilities upkeep. In this role, you will be responsible for addressing day-to-day reactive maintenance issues across the school site and grounds, helping to ensure a safe and well-maintained environment for our students and staff.

You will also raise jobs, arrange maintenance of equipment and vehicles, liaise with contractors on and off-site and respond to ad-hoc requests from management as needed. The role includes both planned and reactive maintenance tasks, contributing to the smooth operation of our facilities.

About the school: Tor View School is a very special school that enables young people with Autism, trauma related interruptions, communication needs and learning difficulties to access an appropriate curriculum in a wonderful environment in the heart of Devon. With typical class sizes of 4, we are able to provide the care, attention, time and dedication to all of the young people to enable them to access education and reach their individual goals and aspirations. We have been rated as 'Good' overall and 'Outstanding' in the assessment categories 'Behaviour and attitudes', 'Personal development' and 'Leadership and management' by Ofsted.
