We are currently partnering with a global electronics manufacturing company based in Bedford assisting them with the recruitment for a Surface Mount/SMT Operative. Quay Recruitment have a strong track record recruiting for this company over many years and this is a new opportunity for an SMT Operative to join this global organisation who have manufacturing sites throughout the world specialising in manufacturing for aerospace, automotive and medical device sectors.
The Job role:
As SMT Operative you will:
* Operate and optimise SMT (Surface Mount Technology) equipment – this includes printers, placement and reflow machines
* Operate AOI machine
* Set up feeders and ensure replenishment
* Uphold IPC A 610 standards and achieve daily output targets
The Requirements:
To be suitable for the position of SMT Operative you will ideally have the following:
* Experience in a similar role within electronics
* IPC A 610 trained
* Strong understanding of SMT assembly process and reflow profiles
The Package:
The successful candidate for the role of SMT Operative will receive the following package:
* Salary up to £30,610
* 5% attendance bonus
* Company contributory pension scheme
* 25 days per annum plus bank holidays (increasing annually to 28 days)
* Rotating shifts
The role of SMT Operative is commutable from Luton, Bedford, Stevenage, St Neots
