Management Accountant, Faringdon (Oxfordshire), Salary circa £55,000 to £60,000. Private equity backed medical device manufacturer | Hybrid | 9-day fortnight.
You want real responsibility, senior exposure and a clear path up. This role of Management Accountant gives you all three. You will be the CFO\'s number two, own the management accounts, shape budgets and forecasts, and help build the finance muscle that supports new product growth. It is hands on, visible, and set up for progression to Senior Financial Controller when you are ready.
Responsibilities
- Deliver accurate, timely management accounts that leadership can act on.
- Build and improve budgets, forecasts and monthly reporting packs.
- Track cash, margins and inventory with simple, repeatable analysis.
- Tighten controls and improve month end so audits feel routine.
- Oversee and develop the Finance Assistant.
- Partner with operations and commercial so finance reflects reality.
- Work with the CFO and the Finance Assistant to create a gold standard finance department.
Qualifications
- Are newly qualified or recently qualified CIMA, ACCA or ACA.
- Enjoy owning the numbers end to end and making them easy to use.
- Can switch between detail and the big picture without drama.
- Are steady under pressure, clear in your communication, and comfortable challenging with data.
- Know your way around ERP and Excel and keep things clean and auditable.

Location
Office-based in Faringdon, Oxfordshire - commutable from Oxford, Swindon, Newbury and surrounding areas. Hybrid working is offered (1-2 days per week from home), with a 9-day fortnight pattern in place: every other Friday off, with the Friday worked finishing at 1pm.
