We are recruiting an Area Sales Manager to join a successful and growing specialist healthcare company with an established presence in the UK eye care market.
You will take ownership of an established territory covering East and Southeast London, Essex, Kent and East Anglia, developing existing customers while identifying new opportunities across the optometry market. This is a business that genuinely invests in its people, with a strong track record of internal development and many members of the senior leadership team having progressed their careers within the company.
The Opportunity
You will represent an established portfolio of eye care products, building relationships with customers and having the autonomy to develop and grow your territory. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your experience within specialist eye care and build a longer-term career within a supportive and ambitious business.
About You
We are keen to speak with commercially driven sales professionals with experience within optometry, ophthalmology, eye care or a closely related market. Your background could include:
- Optometry or optical sales, including frames, lenses or contact lenses
- Ophthalmology or wider eye care
- Pharmaceuticals or medical devices with relevant eye care experience
- Audiology or a related clinical sales environment
You will need previous sales experience, strong relationship-building skills and the confidence and self-motivation to manage and develop your own territory. ABPI qualification is not required. However, if you would like to gain the qualification as part of your professional development, the company will fully fund and support you through it. You will need to live within the territory and hold a full UK driving licence.
