Are you an experienced manufacturing leader looking for a Head of Operations role with genuine autonomy and a fantastic work pattern? We are exclusively recruiting for a Head of Operations to join a long-established business with a diverse portfolio across medical devices and pharmaceuticals. The company has been trading for over 100 years and has recently been acquired, with clear plans for growth. You will join an impressive senior leadership team and play a key role at a pivotal point in their journey.
The role As Head of Operations, your responsibilities will include:
- Providing operational and technical leadership across manufacturing
- Recruiting, developing and leading a multi-disciplinary team
- Resolving technical manufacturing issues and driving continuous improvement
- Owning outgoing quality, safety and compliance, including relevant medical device requirements
- Managing budget, schedule and capacity planning
- Authoring and reviewing SOPs, reports and risk assessments
- Developing your team and supporting high-potential employees
Requirements To be successful in this role, you will ideally have:
- 5+ years’ experience in a leadership or management role within a manufacturing environment
- Experience working in a regulated environment. GMP knowledge is desirable, but backgrounds in pharmaceuticals, medical devices, food, automotive, aerospace or similar are also considered
- Proven experience driving Lean Manufacturing and operational excellence
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and improve performance
- This role will suit someone currently in Production Management or Operations Management who is ready to step into a senior leadership position
Package
- Salary up to £60,000
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- 4% pension contribution
- 9 day working fortnight
- Early finish on Fridays
- Every other Friday off
Location Based in Faringdon, Oxfordshire, commutable from Oxford, Swindon, Abingdon and Cirencester.
