We are partnered with a well-established manufacturing company based in Havant, part of a global group with a strong reputation in their sector. Following significant investment into their manufacturing operation, they are now looking to bring in a Senior Planner who can take ownership of production planning and help drive improvements across the factory. This isn’t a role for someone who just wants to maintain the status quo; they need someone confident, experienced and comfortable making changes.
The job role: what you will be doing
- Create and manage weekly production schedules across multiple departments
- Review order books and plan production to meet demand
- Identify and flag capacity constraints to the wider team
- Coordinate with procurement to ensure materials are available when needed
- Manage subcontractor demand and monitor delivery performance
- Track production progress and resolve delays proactively
- Drive improvements to planning processes and systems
- Maintain accurate data within the MRP system
