We’re recruiting a Graduate Project Engineer to join a well established manufacturing and engineering business within the marine sector. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone at the start of their career to gain hands on experience across design, manufacturing and project delivery.
You’ll work closely with experienced engineers, manufacturing teams and customers, supporting projects from concept through to production whilst developing your technical and commercial skills along the way. This is a 1 year fixed term contract with the possibility of extension depending on workload.
The role:
- Support engineering projects from concept through to manufacture
- Assist with producing 2D and 3D CAD drawings
- Work closely with manufacturing teams to support production
- Help develop technical solutions to customer requirements
- Attend customer and internal project meetings
- Support product testing and validation activities
- Gain exposure to project planning and product development processes
The person:
- A Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or similar
- A genuine interest in engineering, design and manufacturing
- Some experience with 3D CAD software
- Strong communication and problem solving skills
- A willingness to learn and develop within a supportive engineering team
Previous industry experience is beneficial but not essential.
The package:
- Salary circa £30K-£35K
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
- Hours are 8am – 4:15pm Monday – Thursday & 8:00am – 3pm on Friday (37.5hr week)
