Electrical Design Engineer – Havant – up to £60,000 dependent on experience We are recruiting for an Electrical Design Engineer for a well-established manufacturing business based in Havant. This is an excellent opportunity to join a global leader in its sector and a company we know well, having previously recruited successfully into the team, including the manager this role reports to. The role is open to both graduate-level engineers looking to build their career and more experienced electrical design engineers seeking their next challenge within a specialist engineering and manufacturing environment. The Role As Electrical Design Engineer, you will: * Support the design and development of electrical and electronic systems for a range of products * Develop electrical circuits across AC and DC systems * Assist with fault-finding and technical problem solving * Support the commissioning and maintenance of electric motors, switching circuits and motor controllers * Provide technical support and training to clients and end users where required * Contribute to design reviews and wider engineering projects The Person To be successful in this role of Electrical Design Engineer, you will ideally have: * A degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline, or previous experience in a similar design engineering role * An interest in electrical design, development and problem solving * Experience or knowledge of electrical circuit design across AC and DC systems * Exposure to PLC programming, ideally Siemens PLCs, would be advantageous * Experience or knowledge of electric motors, switching circuits and motor controllers would be beneficial * Experience of electro-mechanical assemblies would be an advantage * Candidates from a range of engineering and manufacturing backgrounds will be considered.
