The role: As Junior Buyer your responsibilities will include:
- Obtaining pricing and availability information for pharmaceutical products from UK suppliers
- Supporting the sales team by providing quotations within agreed turnaround times
- Processing purchase orders
- Maintaining procurement records and ensuring documentation is audit ready
- Carrying out regulatory checks, including export restrictions and controlled drugs requirements
- Liaising with suppliers to obtain stock availability and pricing information
- Working closely with sales, accounts, customer service and warehouse teams
- Supporting the wider procurement team with administrative and purchasing activities
- Developing your procurement knowledge and taking on increased responsibility as your experience grows
What we’re looking for: To be successful in the role of Junior Buyer you will ideally have:
- Previous experience within purchasing, procurement, administration or supply chain
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
- Experience using SAGE would be advantageous but is not essential
- Degree educated- additional certifications in procurement or related subjects would be beneficial
