The role: As Junior Buyer your responsibilities will include:

  • Obtaining pricing and availability information for pharmaceutical products from UK suppliers
  • Supporting the sales team by providing quotations within agreed turnaround times
  • Processing purchase orders
  • Maintaining procurement records and ensuring documentation is audit ready
  • Carrying out regulatory checks, including export restrictions and controlled drugs requirements
  • Liaising with suppliers to obtain stock availability and pricing information
  • Working closely with sales, accounts, customer service and warehouse teams
  • Supporting the wider procurement team with administrative and purchasing activities
  • Developing your procurement knowledge and taking on increased responsibility as your experience grows

What we’re looking for: To be successful in the role of Junior Buyer you will ideally have:

  • Previous experience within purchasing, procurement, administration or supply chain
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office
  • Experience using SAGE would be advantageous but is not essential
  • Degree educated- additional certifications in procurement or related subjects would be beneficial
