We are seeking a capable, discreet and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join the team within a prestigious private residence in London. Reporting to the House Manager, this is a varied position combining day-to-day property maintenance with practical household support. The successful candidate will be someone who takes genuine pride in keeping a property running smoothly, notices issues before they become problems, and is equally comfortable carrying out minor repairs, overseeing contractors or helping another department when required.
The Role
- Carrying out routine property and maintenance checks
- Completing minor repairs and maintenance within your skillset, including basic painting and decorating
- Identifying faults, damage or maintenance requirements and reporting these promptly to the House Manager
- Coordinating and supervising external contractors while they are working within the residence
- Maintaining household stores and assisting with stock and inventory
- Keeping designated back-of-house areas clean, organised and well maintained
- Ensuring terraces and external areas remain tidy, including checking automatic watering systems
- Assisting with luggage, household items, food and beverage deliveries and other practical requirements
- Supporting the wider household team whenever necessary
- Maintaining excellent standards of discretion, professionalism and presentation at all times.
