Our client is a well established building company that have been based in the heart of Leicester for over 38 years working in both private and public sectors. They're now expanding due to an increase in the business and looking for experienced Carpenters. Our client also has their own joinery department which manufacture bespoke joinery for offices, houses, churches etc. This includes work on Windows, Doors, Flooring, Skirting, Mouldings, Staircases, Trade Counters, etc. * Must have at least 5 years’ experience, we need this person to ‘hit the ground running’. * Competent in first fix joinery – roofing, stud work, framing, structural timber repairs, shuttering etc. * Competent in second fix joinery – kitchen fitting, skirting, doors, architrave, splicing, window repairs etc. * We have an in-house traditional joinery shop, ideally the new member will be keen to learn or be competent working in traditional methods. * PAYE position. * Full (clean) UK driving license. * Leicestershire based. * Be willing to work with other members of staff or alone on a variety of jobs in a commercial, retail, residential and industrial setting. * They need to be an approachable and friendly character – our work is customer facing a lot of the time.
