Workshop Engineer (Forklifts 15 18 per hour (DOE) | 31,200 37,440 Hours: Monday to Friday | 8:00am 4:00pm | 40 hours per week – Overtime Available Our client is seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop Engineer to join their growing team in Loughborough. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer to work within a well-established and supportive business, maintaining a modern fleet of forklift trucks and material handling equipment. Key Responsibilities: – Service, repair and maintain forklift trucks and material handling equipment – Carry out diagnostics across mechanical, electrical and hydraulic systems – Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and breakdown repairs – Conduct thorough examinations, including LOLER-style inspections – Prepare equipment for hire and dispatch, ensuring high-quality standards – Complete job sheets and service reports accurately – Liaise with the parts department to ensure efficient turnaround of repairs – Carry out in-house servicing, refurbishment and rebuild work – Fault finding and repair on both internal combustion (IC) and electric trucks – Support other engineers when required and contribute to team productivity – Ensure all machines are workshop-ready for the hire fleet – Work closely with the Service Manager to maintain workflow and output …
