We are seeking a dedicated and efficient Warehouse Operative to join our clients team based in Castleford. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of warehouse operations and materials handling. This role is essential for maintaining the smooth flow of goods in and out of the warehouse, ensuring that all processes are executed accurately and efficiently.

Days: Monday to Friday

Hours: (Apply online only) (Additional hours may be required in peak season so we ask candidates to have flexibility).

Pay Rate: As advertised with opportunities for progression and increasing your earnings with a structured training program.

Warehouse Operative Duties:

  • Operate forklifts and other machinery to load and unload goods safely (Licences required for this but not essential)
  • Manage stock levels using a Warehouse Management System (WMS) to ensure accurate inventory records.
  • Assist in shipping, loading and receiving activities, ensuring all items are accounted for and properly documented.
  • Maintain a clean and organised workspace to promote safety and efficiency.
  • Conduct regular inspections of equipment, reporting any mechanical issues promptly.
  • Collaborate with team members to optimise warehouse operations.

Warehouse Operative Requirements:

  • Previous experience in a warehouse environment is preferred.
  • Familiarity with materials handling techniques and best practices.
  • Ability to lift heavy items and perform physical tasks consistently throughout the shift.
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in stock management.
  • A proactive attitude towards safety and adherence to health regulations.
