We are seeking a skilled or trainee CNC Machine Operator to join our client's dynamic manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining XYZ lathe and milling machines, ensuring the efficient production of high-quality components in accordance with company standards. This is an open opportunity for experienced CNC Machine Operators or a trainee that would like to learn, progress and develop into the role.
Key Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor XYZ CNC lathe and milling machines to produce precision parts and instruments.
- Adjust machine settings, including speeds and feeds, to optimise machining performance and meet quality standards.
- Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of machines to ensure optimal operation and longevity.
- Inspect finished products using measuring tools such as micrometres, callipers, and gauges to ensure accuracy and conformance to specifications.
Essential Skills Needed
- Ability to read and understand technical information.
- Proficient in the use of machinery and controls.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Basic computer literacy for operating CNC controls and completing documentation.
- Relevant engineering, manufacturing, or machining qualifications not essential but can be an advantage.
Working Schedule
- Tuesday to Friday
- 6.30am to 5.00pm
- Some weekend overtime can be available.
