Our client, a long-established and highly reputable accountancy practice with over 40 years of success, is looking to appoint an experienced Senior Accountant to join their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a technically strong and client-focused individual to take ownership of a varied portfolio while playing a key role in supporting junior members.
The Role
- Preparation and review of year-end accounts
- Completion of tax computations and submission of tax returns
- Preparation and filing of VAT returns
- Managing day-to-day client queries
- Supporting and mentoring junior staff
- Delegating workloads to meet deadlines
- Working with a variety of accounting software
The Candidate
- AAT, ACA or ACCA qualified
- Minimum 3 years UK practice experience
- Strong attention to detail and organisation
- Confident communicator
- Experience with Xero, QuickBooks, FreeAgent or Sage
- Experience with CCH (advantageous)
- Payroll experience (desirable)
- Leadership or team support capability
Working Hours
- Monday to Friday
- 08:30 - 17:00
- 1-hour lunch break (12:30 - 13:30)
