Our client is the authorised Cesab dealer for Leicestershire, Derbyshire & Nottinghamshire. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced field service engineer to join their forward-thinking team to help their business achieve ambitious growth plans. Working on customer sites and at our clients’ workshop, your role will be interesting and varied.
Along with the ongoing requirement for servicing and preventative maintenance work, you will be expected to carry out diagnosis and subsequent repair work to both clients and the clients’ own equipment as well as carrying out thorough examination inspections.
Duties will be as follows:
- Servicing, preventative maintenance and repair of both company-owned and customer forklift trucks ensuring unscheduled repairs are minimised.
- Provide clear information regarding equipment, service, repair or inspection status and advise actions that may be required to maintain the equipment.
- Liaison with the parts department to ensure appropriate repairs are carried out to the required time frames.
- Completion of documentation to company standards.
- Work within Health & Safety requirements at all times.
- Computer literate.
As an experienced forklift truck service engineer, you will have gained experience from a similar role and have knowledge of forklift trucks. The following skills and experience would be preferable:
- In-depth mechanical and electrical experience including strong diagnosis and repair skills.
- Experience in Manual Handling, Agricultural, Plant (JCB’s etc) or Powered Access equipment, hydraulics and electrical equipment is an advantage; however, a mechanical background is essential.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise in a clear and concise way with all levels of customers.
- A flexible and helpful attitude to work.
- Ability to work as part of a team or under your own initiative.
- A full driving licence.
- You will need to own your own tools to carry out the service duties and repairs. This refers to general tools such as sockets, spanners, screwdrivers etc. Anything more specific to the equipment you’ll be working on will be provided by the client.
You’ll be covering the Midlands area including Leicestershire, Derbyshire, Nottinghamshire and also includes Lincoln, Northampton and Birmingham. A company vehicle is provided for any work mileage. Start times are 8am if you are booked in/planned for work at the depot and onsite. Travelling times will vary based on the location of the customer.
Pay: £38k to £42k Yearly bonus up to £1k
