Overview
Our customer, a large defence organisation, is seeking an Electronic Systems & Sensors Engineer to support the Position, Navigation & Timing (PNT) Programme.
Team Context
- Space Delivery Team
- The programme delivers PNT projects for CSOC.
- Provides PNT subject matter expertise and advice and guidance across defence.
- Supports a number of Op Scorpius activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Own the generation of ESS requirements, defining technical deliverables/artifacts and updating documentation for systems, including in-service support considerations and associated costs.
- Identify and analyse technical hazards/project impacts and contribute to the identification and evaluation of risk reduction measures, ensuring these are documented and managed.
- Manage the design of systems, components or processes to meet customer requirement within time, cost and performance constraints.
- Manage the ESS test, verification, validation and evaluation process.
Essential Skills
- STEM qualification at RQF Level 4.
- Wide ranging depth and breadth of experience providing technical advice and delivery of successful Electronic or Mechatronic outcomes.
- Demonstrable experience of providing technical advice and leading the delivery of successful Electronic or Mechatronic outcomes.
- Professional registration as IEng, RSci, RMarTech, Adv RITTech or CPhys.
Desirable Skills
- Breadth of experience in providing technical advice and delivery of successful outcomes relating to PNT technologies and/or GNSS.
- DV clearance desired.
- UK National desired.
- Experience working in a fast paced delivery environment.
Additional Information
- Attendance in the office 2β3 times per week anticipated.
- Some travel off-site may be required.
- SC clearance required.
