Location: Hybrid – MOD Abbey Wood, 1–2 days per week onsite

Rate: Up to £550 per day (Inside IR35)

Overview

An opportunity has arisen for a GOSHAWK Safety Manager (L3) to support the Short Range Integrated Air Defence (SIAD) Delivery Team within the Land – Weapons domain. The role supports Project GOSHAWK, a direct-to-UKR delivery programme aimed at delivering an Air Defence capability, following a live trial at MOD Hebrides in June 2026 to demonstrate industry supplier capability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Safety Management activities for Project GOSHAWK: General Safety A&G for project GOSHAWK, developing safety documentation as required.
  • Trials Safety Management: Interface with customer and supplier, as well as range provider to develop and execute a safe and successful trial for project GOSHAWK. Working with DOSR, the SSR, WESCOE and other stakeholders at all stages to develop a trials plan and associated artefacts.

Essential Experience

  • Experience engaging with assurance authorities and managing engineering.
  • DE&S Engineering Policy experience.
  • Experience working with OME and DOSR and/or DSA Regulations.
  • DE&S Safety and Environmental Management System (SEMS) experience.
  • Experience supporting OME trials and preparation.

Desirable Experience

  • Background of working on a Government-in-Kind (GiK) or rapid procurement project.

Additional Information

Hybrid working model with occasional onsite attendance at MOD Abbey Wood. The role sits within the Acquisition Safety & Environment technical discipline.
