Brief Team Description
The FDDS Team are part of Joint UK StratCom β DE&S programme tasked to implement a complex, novel commodities supply chain management system for a significant portion of MOD commodities. Materiel in scope includes medical devices and pharmaceuticals, oils and fuels as well and comparatively simple commercial off the off-shelf products (e.g. clothing and electronic commodities). The selected Delivery Partners will manage all aspects of the supply chain including sourcing, procurement, inventory management, warehousing and distribution. The task will include management of stock, buildings and transportation (road, rail, sea and air) both domestically and internationally.
This tasking will cover activities bounded by the Invitation to Negotiate (ITN) and Invitation to Tender (ITT) phases. In addition to safety management activities, the Safety Manager will be required to assist in supporting MOD commercial arrangements and responding directly to industry Requests for Information (RFIs).
With an in-service date of 2028 the FDSS Programme will likely require continued specialist support beyond this financial year.

Up to Β£550/day (Inside IR35, via an umbrella company).

Key Tasks and Associated Deliverables:
- Task1: Develop the Quality Management System (QMS) for ITT activities.
- Deliverable: Deliver iterations of the FDSS Quality Management Plan (QMP) with MOD compliant processes.
- Task 2: Respond to industry RFIs on quality management during ITN.
- Deliverable: Produce compliant written responses following FDSS Commercial Team guidelines.
- Task 3: Review supplier quality responses to ITN question sets.
- Deliverable: Generate evaluation and scoring reports, summarising findings and recommendations.
- Task 4: Identify industry best practices from tenders.
- Deliverable: Develop Learning from Experience reports and revise FDSS QMS accordingly.
- Task 5: Develop Quality Requirements for ITT Systems Requirement Document.
- Deliverable: Provide updates to the QMP.
