Role Overview
We are seeking an Electronics Engineer to support Project NIGHTFALL within the Land – Weapons domain. Project NIGHTFALL will demonstrate a cost-effective, tactical ballistic missile system capable of being safely ground launched from a mobile platform in a high-threat environment, operating in complex electromagnetic conditions, including GNSS contested or degraded environments.
Key Tasks and Deliverables
- Own the generation of electronics requirements and associated technical deliverables and documentation.
- Identify and analyse electronics hazards and project impacts, contributing to risk reduction measures.
- Manage the design of electronics systems, components or processes to meet customer requirements within time, cost and performance constraints.
- Manage electronics test, verification, validation and evaluation activities across the system lifecycle.
Essential Skills and Experience
- STEM qualification at RQF Level 4 or equivalent.
- Strong depth and breadth of experience delivering electronics engineering outputs.
- Experience providing technical advice and leading delivery of electronics solutions.
- Professionally registered with a relevant institution as IEng or CEng.
Desirable Skills and Experience
- Broad experience delivering electronics technologies and systems.
- Experience working in a fast-paced delivery environment.
Additional Information
Hybrid working is expected with ad hoc attendance at Abbey Wood. Travel to suppliers and other MOD sites will be required.
