Due to new contract wins, we have a number of exciting opportunities available at our Sheffield business based in Dinnington. We are now looking for experienced Electro-Mechanical Engineers to join our rail team. As an experienced engineer you will be responsible for assembling, installing, maintaining, and repairing equipment, including all aspects of the inspection, repair, overhaul, and refurbishment of machines, which are often highly complex and integrate both mechanical and electrical systems.
Responsibilities
- Inspect and disassemble rotating machines
- Read and understand electrical and mechanical drawings
- Produce job reports and inspection check sheets
- Ensure exceptional levels of customer care
- Carry out basic electrical testing to establish machine condition
- Hold a qualification in Mechanical Engineering either C&G or NVQ equivalent
- Previous experience within an Electro-Mechanical environment and rail would be an advantage
- Knowledge of AC & DC motors, traction motors and HVAC systems
- Be able to travel for short durations as and when required for specific site work both in the UK and Overseas
- Use industry equipment correctly and safely during the repair process
