We are seeking an experienced Quality & Compliance Manager to lead and continually improve our Quality Management System and compliance framework. Working closely with senior leadership and operational teams, you will drive quality standards, oversee audits and accreditations, ensure regulatory compliance, and champion a culture of continuous improvement across the business. Key Responsibilities:

Quality Management

  • Develop, implement and maintain the company's Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Establish quality policies, procedures and governance arrangements that support operational excellence.
  • Monitor the effectiveness of quality assurance processes across all business functions.
  • Lead and manage the internal audit programme.
  • Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes and implement corrective and preventative actions.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable legislation, regulations, customer requirements and industry standards.
  • Manage external certification and accreditation processes.
  • Monitor regulatory changes and implement updates to management systems and procedures as required.
  • Provide guidance and support to managers on quality and compliance requirements.
  • Oversee document control processes across the business.
  • Ensure effective management of engineering drawings, specifications, procedures and project records.
  • Maintain systems for statutory, contractual and customer certification requirements.
  • Ensure documentation is prepared, reviewed, approved and retained in line with company and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct audits and reviews to verify compliance with document control procedures.

Risk Management & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify, assess and mitigate quality and compliance risks.
  • Monitor management system effectiveness through audits, inspections and performance reviews.
  • Produce assurance reports for senior leadership highlighting risks, trends and improvement opportunities.
  • Support operational teams in embedding quality and compliance requirements into day-to-day activities.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, compliance and continuous improvement throughout the business.

To be successful in this role, you will have a strong background in quality management and compliance within an electrical engineering, electrical contracting, or similar technical environment.

  • Proven experience in a Quality or Compliance role within the electrical engineering or electrical contracting sector.
  • Experience working with ISO 9001 quality standards.
  • Strong knowledge of BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations).
  • Experience managing and maintaining Quality Management Systems.
  • HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Installation.
  • Technical or electrical engineering background.
  • Knowledge of construction industry compliance frameworks.
  • Experience working with certification bodies and regulatory audits.
