We are looking to recruit an experienced Mechanical Fitter, preferably with experience working on motors, gearboxes, and pumps, to join our team supporting clients across East Anglia, primarily within the water industry.
- Inspect and disassemble pumps and other rotating machines
- Read and interpret mechanical and schematic drawings
- Produce accurate job reports and inspection check sheets
- Complete work to a high standard on a first-time fix basis wherever possible
- Submit daily and weekly paperwork accurately and on time
- Hold a recognised qualification in Mechanical Engineering (C&G, NVQ or equivalent)
- Previous experience in a mechanical fitting environment
- Knowledge and practical experience of working with motors, pumps, and gearboxes
- Competent in the correct and safe use of industry-standard tools and equipment
- Ability to prepare and assemble mechanical parts to required standards ready for testing
