We are looking for an experienced Electrician’s Mate to join our team, working across the North West of England.
The successful candidate will be confident working alongside qualified electricians and, in particular, have strong practical experience in the installation of electrical containment systems.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who takes pride in their workmanship, understands the importance of working safely and is keen to develop their electrical skills and career.
Experience within the utilities sector would be advantageous but is not essential. Candidates from commercial, industrial, construction, infrastructure, energy, water or facilities environments are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities
- Install and assist with the installation of a range of electrical containment systems.
- Install cable tray, cable ladder, trunking, conduit and associated containment systems.
- Measure, cut, assemble and securely fix containment to a high standard.
- Work from drawings, layouts and installation plans.
- Assist qualified electricians with electrical installation and maintenance activities.
- Experience working as an Electrician’s Mate, Electrical Improver or similar role.
- Proven practical experience installing electrical containment systems.
- Good knowledge of cable tray, cable ladder, trunking and conduit installation.
- The ability to read and understand basic drawings and installation plans.
- Good practical and problem-solving skills.
Experience in utilities is preferred but not essential. Experience within industrial, commercial, construction, infrastructure, water or energy environments would also be considered.
Qualifications & Training
The following would be advantageous:
- Electrical installation qualifications or working towards an electrical qualification.
