At Quartzelec, we're delivering vital infrastructure projects that help keep communities connected and powered. We're looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead the successful delivery of low voltage distribution cable upgrade projects across our Utilities business.
This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of multiple projects from inception through to completion, managing operational delivery, financial performance, customer relationships, and team development. You'll play a key role in maintaining our reputation for safe, high-quality project delivery while driving profitability and continuous improvement.
Working within established framework contracts for DNO and private sector clients, you'll lead multidisciplinary teams, manage subcontractors, and ensure projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to the highest standards.
Key Responsibilities:
As Project Manager, you will:
- Lead the successful delivery of low voltage distribution cable upgrade projects.
- Take full responsibility for project planning, execution, monitoring, and completion.
- Manage project budgets, P&L performance, cash flow, and commercial outcomes.
- Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to required quality standards.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and operational teams.
We're looking for a commercially aware and results-driven Project Manager who thrives in a fast-paced operational environment and enjoys leading teams to deliver outstanding outcomes.
Qualifications & Experience
- Proven experience in a Project Manager role, ideally within utilities, power distribution, civil engineering, or infrastructure projects.
- Experience handling the financial responsibility of projects.
- Demonstrabale PM experience, ideally within a DNO framework (Desirable)
- Strong commercial understanding with experience managing budgets, profitability, and contractual obligations.
- Demonstrable experience leading operational teams and managing subcontractors.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate, influence, and develop teams.
- Commercially focused with a strong awareness of business performance and profitability.
- Proactive, organised, and capable of managing competing priorities.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Results-oriented with a continuous improvement mindset.
Salary Range Between £52,000.00 - £56,000.00 dependant on experience.
