Due to a growing volume of work, we are looking to hire an experienced Electrical Design Engineer with a broad skill set across various disciplines, including design, engineering, construction, procurement, maintenance, and project management.

Key Responsibilities & Accountability

  • A strong ability to understand project objectives and deliverables
  • Design and specification of electrical installations, from low voltage (LV) to 33kV systems
  • Comprehensive modelling of electrical systems, including load calculations, fault level assessments, and coordination of protective measures
  • Ensuring designs and on-site work comply with relevant standards and regulations
  • Developing technical specifications for electrical equipment

Qualifications, Experience & Personal Attributes

The successful applicant will possess:

  • A minimum qualification of HND/HNC or an equivalent credential is essential
  • A minimum of five years of experience in electrical design
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and other technical / electrical modelling software applications such as Amtech, ETAP, Power Factory, etc.
  • Familiarity with relevant technical standards is required
  • Strong skills in professional report writing
