Reporting to the Workshop Manager, we are now seeking an experienced Workshop Supervisor to work at our Sheffield site on the new rail contract. Due to new contract wins, we have a number of exciting opportunities available at our Sheffield business based in Dinnington.
Activities undertaken are both diverse and challenging as they cover all aspects of inspection and installing of machines. This is a key role in overseeing the operations of the rail workshop and will include planning and allocating work to the team, monitoring workflow and productivity, and coordinating the supply of materials ensuring time, quality, and cost targets are met.
Successful candidates will have excellent technical knowledge of rotating machines, with traction engineers and previous experience of working in the rail industry being desirable. Candidates should have previously held a supervisory/team leading position. Experience working in the rail industry would be an advantage.
