High Voltage Operations Manager in Swansea

We are seeking a High Voltage Operations Manager to lead and grow a new HV profit centre in Swansea. This strategic role covers all aspects of operations – financial performance, client relationships, team leadership, and long-term growth. You will play a key part in shaping business strategy, building a strong pipeline, and driving sustained success.

Responsibilities

Deliver profit centre goals with a focus on safety, operational excellence, and efficiency.
Take commercial ownership of budgets, P&L, orders, and forecasts.
Oversee daily operations with a \”right first time\” approach.
Manage contracts, project scopes, and stakeholder objectives.
Develop new business opportunities, prepare bids, and support tender success.
Set clear team objectives and build a high-performance culture.
Monitor costs, improve efficiency, and maximise profitability.
Ensure compliance with HV/LV Safety Rules and company policies.
Lead HR activities including mentoring, development, and workforce management.
Support wider business initiatives and act as a role model for professionalism.

Qualifications

Proven experience leading and developing teams.
Strong P&L, budgeting, and commercial acumen.
Track record in business development and sales growth.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Knowledge of HV/LV electrical engineering services and markets.
Higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable).
5+ years\’ experience in engineering business management.
IOSH/SMSTS H&S for Managers.
