As a Marine Electrician, you will join our expanding Marine Electrical team in Aberdeen, where you’ll carry out electrical installations, maintenance, testing and fault‑finding across marine, oil & gas and onshore environments. Working from technical drawings and schematics, you’ll support the safe and efficient operation of power and control systems while contributing to a variety of challenging projects alongside clients and project teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Interpret and work directly from drawings, electrical schematics and scopes of work.
- Carry out electrical maintenance, installations and testing across marine, commercial and industrial environments.
- Diagnose and resolve faults on AC/DC LV systems in a variety of installations.
- Work with power generation/management equipment including AC and DC circuits, generators, battery systems and associated control equipment.
- Test and maintain LV switchboards, control panels, motors, generators and circuit breakers.
Qualifications
- Time‑served Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations (advantageous).
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience within the electrical or marine industry.
- Strong commitment to health, safety and environmental responsibilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
