Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of electrotechnical systems and equipment, including switchboards, motors, cables, lighting and alarm systems.
- Support the preparation and installation of wiring systems across a range of environments.
- Learn and apply electrical legislation, regulations and industry best practices.
- Assist with inspection, testing, commissioning and certification of electrical systems.
- Support fault finding and diagnostics to ensure safe and efficient system operation.
- Develop an understanding of electrical design, installation and maintenance principles.
- Maintain safe working practices and contribute to a clean and organised work environment.
- Attend Beau Associates/JTL training centre for theory and practical assessments.
- Complete all apprenticeship requirements and progress in line with the training plan.
Qualifications
- Commitment to completing a 4-year apprenticeship programme.
- Full UK driving licence (or working towards).
- Strong interest in electrical installation, maintenance and engineering.
- Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to follow instructions and work safely.
- Reliable, motivated and eager to learn.
- Minimum Grade 4 (or equivalent) in both English and Mathematics.
Desirable
- Previous experience or study in electrical work or engineering.
- Strong organisational skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
