At Quartzelec, we deliver high-voltage (HV) installation and maintenance solutions across the UK, including design, erection, testing, and commissioning of new installations and refurbishments up to 33kV. Accredited under the National Electricity Registration Scheme (NERS), we have the in-house capability to design, install, test, and commission electrical utility connections for adoption by local DNOs.

About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Senior Authorised Person (SAP) with strong HV Private Networks experience to join our team. In this role, you'll provide engineering solutions for the installation and maintenance of HV & LV electrical systems, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop proposals and technical solutions in collaboration with the HV Operations Manager.
- Manage projects to meet client requirements for specification, cost, and schedule.
- Ensure clear communication and instruction to the workforce.
- Oversee Health & Safety compliance and maintain a strong safety culture.
- Manage and control subcontractors and maintain company quality standards.
- Execute HV construction and asset replacement projects (11kV-33kV).
- Organise and perform HV switching, isolation, earthing, and issue safety documentation.
- Undertake on-site testing and commissioning of HV distribution systems.
What We're Looking For
Essential: HV Senior Authorisation status (e.g., DNO or equivalent) and HV Private Networks experience. Minimum 5 years' experience in an electrical contracting environment. Strong technical competence and interpersonal skills. Ability to work under pressure with a controlled, safety-first approach. HNC in Electrical Engineering (Power Distribution) preferred. City & Guilds in HV Operational Safety; IOSH/NEBOSH desirable.
