We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Electrical Installation Apprentice to join our Electrical Contracting team based in Bury St Edmunds. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while working towards your Installation & Maintenance Electrician Level 3 qualification over a 4‑year programme. You’ll work on real projects across the Water Industry in East Anglia, developing practical skills and technical knowledge needed to build a successful career as an electrician.
Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems across a variety of environments
- Prepare and install wiring systems and electro‑technical equipment
- Work with systems including motors, switchboards, cables, lighting, heating, and renewable technologies
- Assist with installation and maintenance of fire and security alarm systems
- Apply electrical principles to practical design and installation work
- Work from technical drawings and scopes of work
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations at all times
You will gain:
- Level 3 Installation and Maintenance Electrician Apprenticeship
- SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installations
- BS 7671 Electrical Installations certification
Study: Day release at West Suffolk College
Your skills and experiencesTo be considered, you should have:
- GCSEs at Level 5 (C grade or equivalent) including: Maths, Science
- Good problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
- A proactive attitude and willingness to learn
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle
- Right to work in the UK
