Quartzelec is an independent, multi-disciplined service provider that employs over 600 people in the UK and overseas with a turnover in excess of £80 million. We support the industrial, infrastructure, commercial and service sectors with a unique range of contracting and rotating machine services as well as developing and providing support products offered through the Quartzelec group of companies.
Due to an increase in workload, we are now seeking an Electro Mechanical Fitter to work in our rotating machinery business based in Aberdeen.
- Being able to inspect and disassemble rotating machines both LV & HV
- Carrying out inspections, overhauls and repairs of various motors that have been used in explosive atmospheres
- Accurately assess and observe damage and wear on AC/DC electric motors and other machines
- Quality control and technical compliance in accordance with project requirements
- Hold a qualification in Electrical Engineering either C&G or NVQ equivalent
- Previous experience within an Electro Mechanical environment
- Experience of rotating equipment as well as root cause analyses and measuring
- Be able to travel for short durations as and when required for specific site work and offshore scopes
- Previous or current AEMT training course preferred but not essential
- Current offshore licence preferable but not essential
