The Opportunity: Quartzelec is looking for an experienced and commercially minded Senior Project Manager to lead the delivery of complex, high-value projects within the rotating machinery and electrical engineering sectors. This is a high-impact role managing projects from £5M to £20M across critical industries such as hydropower, nuclear, and large-scale power generation. Key Responsibilities: As a Senior Project Manager, you will play a critical role within our major programme delivery team. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the full project lifecycle from initial client engagement through to successful delivery and close-out
- Preparing accurate project estimates, quotations, and managing cost forecasts
- Defining scope, deliverables, timelines, and resource plans
- Coordinating multi-disciplinary internal teams and liaising with key external stakeholders
- Managing project risks, quality assurance processes, and formal reporting
- Ensuring timely delivery of technically complex engineering projects in the £5M–£20M range
Your skills and experiences:
- Proven track record managing complex engineering projects
- Financial acumen and strong planning skills
- Comfortable with Microsoft Excel and MS Project
- Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills
- Experience in hydropower, large power plants, or nuclear projects
- Project Management certification (PMI, APM, PMQ, or PPQ) is advantageous
