The Opportunity

We are seeking a proactive and organised Project Delivery Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will support the full lifecycle of project delivery from initial opportunity review through to successful completion and customer close‑out. You’ll work closely with project, site and management teams to ensure work scopes are delivered safely, efficiently and to the highest standards, providing first‑class customer service throughout. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic project environment, enjoys problem‑solving, and takes pride in delivering high‑quality engineering and project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

  • Support the project team with quotations and estimates by assessing work scope, identifying risks and advising on delivery timescales.
  • Attend project kick‑off meetings with project and site teams, with travel across the UK as required.
  • Take ownership of project deliverables from initial scope, costings and timings through to delivery on site.
  • Review and approve work instructions produced by the project team.
  • Produce Risk Assessments and Method Statements aligned to project requirements.
  • Work with the project team to continuously improve the quality of information provided to site teams.
  • Organise tooling and test equipment required for on‑site activities.
  • Ensure all project information, documentation, equipment and tooling are prepared and available on site at the required time.
  • Ensure adherence to the project plan once works have commenced on site.
  • Manage changes and variations to work scope in a controlled and documented manner.
  • Monitor project costs and notify the project team of risks to budget, quality or timescales.
  • Improve communication processes between site teams and the project office.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer communications during project delivery.
  • Oversee ongoing management of site equipment and tooling.
  • Contribute to project close‑out processes and lessons learned reviews.
  • Ensure project reports are completed accurately and delivered on time.
  • Maintain excellent quality standards and promote a strong safety culture at all times.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • BTEC/HND in Electrical Engineering.
  • Awareness of financial and commercial factors influencing project success.
  • Strong organisation and time management skills.
  • Customer‑focused with excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Able to work flexibly, independently and collaboratively within a team.
  • Motivated, enthusiastic and driven to succeed.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement.
  • Experience supervising or coordinating a team (desirable).
