The Role
We are seeking a High Voltage Operations Manager to lead and grow a new HV profit centre in Swansea. This strategic role covers all aspects of operations — financial performance, client relationships, team leadership, and long-term growth. You will play a key part in shaping business strategy, building a strong pipeline, and driving sustained success.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver profit centre goals with a focus on safety, operational excellence, and efficiency.
- Take commercial ownership of budgets, P&L, orders, and forecasts.
- Oversee daily operations with a “right first time” approach.
- Manage contracts, project scopes, and stakeholder objectives.
- Develop new business opportunities, prepare bids, and support tender success.
- Set clear team objectives and build a high‑performance culture.
- Monitor costs, improve efficiency, and maximise profitability.
- Ensure compliance with HV/LV Safety Rules and company policies.
- Lead HR activities including mentoring, development, and workforce management.
- Support wider business initiatives and act as a role model for professionalism.
Your skills and experiences:
- Proven experience leading and developing teams.
- Strong P&L, budgeting, and commercial acumen.
- Track record in business development and sales growth.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills.
- Knowledge of HV/LV electrical engineering services and markets.
- Higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable).
- 5+ years’ experience in engineering business management.
- IOSH/SMSTS H&S for Managers.
