The Role

We are seeking a High Voltage Operations Manager to lead and grow a new HV profit centre in Swansea. This strategic role covers all aspects of operations — financial performance, client relationships, team leadership, and long-term growth. You will play a key part in shaping business strategy, building a strong pipeline, and driving sustained success.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver profit centre goals with a focus on safety, operational excellence, and efficiency.
  • Take commercial ownership of budgets, P&L, orders, and forecasts.
  • Oversee daily operations with a “right first time” approach.
  • Manage contracts, project scopes, and stakeholder objectives.
  • Develop new business opportunities, prepare bids, and support tender success.
  • Set clear team objectives and build a high‑performance culture.
  • Monitor costs, improve efficiency, and maximise profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with HV/LV Safety Rules and company policies.
  • Lead HR activities including mentoring, development, and workforce management.
  • Support wider business initiatives and act as a role model for professionalism.

Your skills and experiences:

  • Proven experience leading and developing teams.
  • Strong P&L, budgeting, and commercial acumen.
  • Track record in business development and sales growth.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills.
  • Knowledge of HV/LV electrical engineering services and markets.
  • Higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable).
  • 5+ years’ experience in engineering business management.
  • IOSH/SMSTS H&S for Managers.
