The Role
We are seeking a High Voltage Contracts Manager to lead and grow a new HV profit centre in Manchester. This strategic role involves full responsibility for financial performance, client relationships, operations, and long-term growth. You will shape and execute business strategy, drive sales, and build a high-performing team.
Responsibilities
- Deliver profit centre goals with a focus on safety, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Take commercial ownership of P&L, budgets, orders, and forecasts.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring quality and customer satisfaction.
- Manage contracts, project scopes, resources, and timelines.
- Identify new opportunities, prepare bids, and drive business development.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the team, setting measurable objectives.
- Monitor costs, maximise profitability, and ensure compliance with company and HV/LV Safety Rules.
- Support wider business initiatives and act as a role model for professionalism.
Qualifications
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Proven track record in P&L, budgeting, and commercial acumen.
- Business development and sales growth experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer-focused approach.
- Knowledge of HV/LV electrical engineering services and markets.
- Higher qualification in Electrical Engineering (desirable).
- 5+ years in engineering business management.
- IOSH/SMSTS H&S for Managers.
