Are you an ambitious Food & Beverage professional looking for your next step in a stunning resort setting? A premium countryside destination in North Devon is seeking a Deputy Food & Beverage Manager to help lead a thriving multi-outlet operation — and build a long-term career in resort hospitality.
Working closely with the Food & Beverage Manager, you will play a key role in leading teams, improving commercial performance and maintaining consistently high operational standards across restaurants, bars, events, weddings and wider resort hospitality.
People leadership and cultureLead, motivate and inspire Food & Beverage teams to deliver exceptional guest service at every touchpoint. You will support recruitment, onboarding, training and development across all outlets, carry out regular coaching and performance conversations, and help create a positive, high-performing culture built on accountability, teamwork and continuous improvement.
Commercial performanceSupport the achievement of departmental revenue and profitability targets by driving upselling opportunities and maximising average spend per guest. You will monitor labour costs, stock control, wastage and purchasing to improve margins, and use sales data and guest feedback to identify opportunities for growth. You will also assist in planning and delivering seasonal offers, events and promotions.
Operational excellence and guest experienceEnsure all Food & Beverage outlets consistently deliver high standards of presentation, cleanliness and service. You will maintain strong guest satisfaction scores through proactive service leadership, resolve guest concerns professionally and promptly, and ensure full compliance with food safety, licensing and health and safety requirements. Close collaboration with kitchen, events, housekeeping and resort operations teams is central to the role.
Performance managementMonitor KPIs including guest satisfaction, labour percentage, revenue performance and service standards. Lead pre-shift briefings, communicate business priorities clearly to your team and support the implementation of operational improvements and service initiatives.
About youPrevious experience in a supervisory or management Food & Beverage role within hospitality, hotel or resort environments is essential. You will be a strong people leader with a genuine passion for developing teams, commercially aware with a solid understanding of profitability and labour management, and highly organised with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. A flexible approach to working hours including evenings, weekends and holidays is required.
