I am recruiting an Assistant Housekeeping Manager for a countryside resort in North Devon. It is a varied role across hotel rooms, lodges, cottages, and public areas, supporting the Housekeeping Manager in delivering exceptional standards and guest satisfaction. It would suit someone who leads from the floor, takes real pride in presentation, and enjoys developing a team.

What you would be doing day to day:

  • Supporting the daily housekeeping operation across multiple accommodation types, with regular inspections and high standards ahead of every arrival.
  • Supervising, motivating, and training the team, and helping manage rotas, staffing, and seasonal projects.
  • Working closely with Reception, Maintenance, Reservations, and Operations to keep the guest experience seamless.
  • Keeping everything compliant with company policy, health and safety, and COSHH.

What I am looking for:

  • Previous housekeeping supervisory or team leader experience within a hotel, resort, or holiday park.
  • Strong organisation and attention to detail.
  • A flexible approach to working hours including weekends and bank holidays.
  • Experience across multiple accommodation types and COSHH or health and safety training would be an advantage.

The hours:

Full-time, permanent, 40 hours per week. Flexibility is needed to meet the operational needs of the resort, including weekends, bank holidays, and peak seasonal periods.
