Cambridge-based, hybrid role. We are looking for a data-driven professional to help translate information into action for our marketing team. This role combines technical expertise with commercial awareness, using Python, SQL, and database design to identify audience opportunities, improve campaign performance, and inform marketing strategy across the subscription lifecycle. The role supports the marketing team in driving customer demand. This includes combining disparate data sources to provide marketing information, analysing marketing performance and providing input into the marketing process. Good communication with both marketing and technical teams is essential. The role also oversees the marketing technology stack, ensuring platforms operate smoothly to support the continued marketing-led growth of Quartix. It resolves technical challenges, improves processes for efficiency, and works with other teams including Sales, Systems and Support to drive the business’ marketing performance. The role reports to the Global Demand Generation Manager and has a strong interface with Business Systems as well as any external consultants and technology partners.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain data pipelines and marketing datasets to enable efficient audience segmentation and targeting.
  • Use SQL and Python to extract, clean, and analyse data from multiple sources, providing insights into customer behaviour and campaign performance.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to design audience targeting models that increase acquisition, engagement, and retention.
  • Create dashboards, reports, and analytical tools to track marketing metrics and forecast performance.
  • Partner with stakeholders across Marketing, Business Systems and Sales to align data infrastructure with commercial objectives.
  • Support experimentation and A/B testing through statistically sound analysis and recommendations.
  • Lead Process Management: identify, design, and document scalable processes that enable the marketing team to be effective, enable better measurement of results and to support decisions on marketing strategy.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance marketing workflows and project management.
  • Evaluate current processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement.
  • Develop measurement plans for each marketing source/channel, e.g. Google ads, email campaigns, paid social etc.
  • Establish best practices and standard operating procedures for campaign execution, reporting, and analytics.
  • Marketing Tech Stack / Infrastructure; own, maintain and improve our marketing tech stack. Work with Business Systems, external consultants and Global Demand Generation Manager to manage the marketing data and our lead management process across the marketing and sales tech stack.
  • Support and train staff on any changes to processes.
  • Other tasks as directed by the Global Demand Generation Manager.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with practical experience in data manipulation and analysis.
  • Strong grasp of database design, schema management, and data integration concepts.
  • Analytical mindset with a focus on commercial impact and problem-solving.
  • Excellent communication skills, capable of translating technical insights into actionable business language.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at the same time in a fast-paced environment.
  • You are confident to define and own your own brief using a questioning approach.
  • Technical aptitude – ability to troubleshoot data and systems issues.

Desirable

  • Familiarity with some marketing automation platforms or CRM tools (e.g. Salesforce, Heeet, 6sense).
  • Experience in using data to drive customer segmentation, predictive modelling, or marketing attribution.
  • Experience with Google Analytics and other measurement tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to collect marketing data with a strong understanding of how system design impacts reporting abilities as well as how lead flows impact reporting abilities.
  • Working knowledge of GDPR regulation as well as an awareness of trends in data privacy that would affect marketing.
