A small, well-established educational charity in Oxford is seeking a senior finance professional to take ownership of its finance function. This newly created role offers a mix of hands-on financial management and strategic leadership, supporting senior management and trustees while strengthening systems, controls and long-term financial planning.

Responsibilities

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting and financial planning
  • Produce management accounts and reports for senior stakeholders
  • Manage all day-to-day finance activity including payroll, payments, reconciliations, cash flow and fees
  • Prepare statutory accounts and oversee audit and Charity Commission compliance
  • Improve financial systems, processes and controls

About you

  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA) or working towards qualification
  • Strong charity accounting and compliance knowledge
  • Confident operating as a standalone finance professional
  • Clear communicator with strong attention to detail
  • Right to work in the UK
