Accounts Assistant (Temporary, possible Temp to Perm)
In the main, responsibilities include processing invoices, managing accounts payable and receivable, performing bank reconciliations, and entering data into financial systems. Responsibilities
- Financial Record Keeping: Process and record financial transactions and journals; maintain and update sales and purchase ledgers; handle petty cash transactions and maintain ledgers.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable: Process invoices and bills for payment; issue invoices to clients and external partners; manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
- Reconciliations & Reporting: Perform bank statement reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Administrative Support: Provide general administrative support to the finance department.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of accounting terminology and basic bookkeeping principles.
- Soft Skills: Strong attention to detail; good organisational and time management skills; good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience & Education: Previous experience in an accounting assistant or similar role is often preferred.
