Hospitality and Events Management Graduate Scheme details:

We are offering you the rare opportunity to get involved in all areas of our company, where you will learn the operations of our diverse businesses. You will be immersed into the company from the very first day, and will gain hands on experience and an insight into all aspects of hotel and restaurant management. This includes front of house operations such as team management, guest interaction and event preparation and execution, as well as a full understanding of back of house operations, from accounting and forecasting to budget management. In addition to this, you will also cover various other areas within the company, such as sales and marketing, group reservations, accounting, HR and training, revenue management, SEO and website management and property development.

The diversity of this scheme will give you the opportunity to experience all aspects of the company, allowing you to establish and build upon your strengths in the hospitality industry within a highly reputable company. This is a rotational scheme - you will spend two months working in each of our departments, working your way around the group. This scheme involves working shifts, evenings and weekends, on rotation - it is hospitality after all!

Our Festivals:

In addition to the Bristol-based rotations, you will attend and work at our two 'How The Light Gets In' festivals - one in Hay-on-Wye over the late May Bank Holiday and one in London in September. Accommodation will be provided for the time you are away. This is a great opportunity for you to meet other key members of both Quarter and TVF (our sister company). You'll provide a supporting role in one of the key festival functions - from running your own bar, to managing the ticket office or motivating and guiding our small army of stewards. It's a great opportunity for you to get stuck in and show your hospitality skills!

Hospitality and Events Management Graduate Scheme assessment and support:

Your training will be delivered by the unit managers within each rotation. Each rotation has an agreed training plan with an assessment at the end to ensure that the information has been understood. Following each rotation, you'll have a review meeting with two of our senior managers - you'll be able to feedback your thoughts and discuss how the scheme is going. After six months on the scheme you'll have a longer review and assessment - this will be used to help support any promotion applications you may choose to go for!

Scheme requirements:

The ideal candidate will have a strong business head and professional outlook, as well as the desire to succeed and the ability to learn and adapt quickly. Although experience in hospitality is not necessary, a passion for customer service and a willingness to get stuck in is essential. A minimum of a 2:1 in any discipline is required. Given the nature of our industry, candidates can expect to work to a rota, shift-work basis (including evenings and weekends) for the majority of the scheme.

The application process:
