Quarriers Stopover Youth Homelessness Service are currently recruiting a Deputy Project Manager on a full‑time, permanent basis. The project provides an accommodation‑based housing support service to 14 young people aged 16‑25 years. The aim of the service is to support young people to develop their independent living skills in order to move on to less supported accommodation or a tenancy of their own.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Project Manager supporting staff to deliver person‑centred care and promote greater independence and inclusion, including health and wellbeing.
  • Assist the Project Manager in the smooth running of the service and ensure that all managers and staff within the team are fully supported and focused on achieving fantastic outcomes for the people supported.
  • Take responsibility for maintaining statutory returns and financial accountability, ensuring the service operates within budget.
  • Work full time (39 hours per week over 7 days) mainly during office hours, with occasional evenings and weekends, and provide night‑shift cover and sleepovers when required.

Requirements

  • Relevant qualification (equal to level 7 of SQA).
  • Enthusiasm and self‑motivation.
  • Previous experience in a supervisory, team‑leader or management role within social care.
  • Resilient, reliable and an excellent listener.
  • Good IT and communication skills.
  • Driving licence and access to your own vehicle – essential.
