Quarriers is looking for two caring and motivated part-time Intandem Coaches to support young people who are looked after at home or in kinship care through Scotland's mentoring programme, intandem. You'll build positive, trusting relationships with young people and work alongside families, carers, volunteers, and professionals to help young people feel supported, confident, and listened to. Working closely with the Mentoring Coordinator, you will play a part in promoting the service and providing a positive experience for children and families in the local community.
Working pattern: We are offering two 10-hour contracts to meet 20 hours service delivery. Working patterns may vary depending on the young person and families supported; therefore, a level of flexibility will be required.
We warmly welcome applications from care-experienced people and from anyone with lived or professional experience of supporting children and young people.
What you'll be doing:
- Supporting young people before and during mentoring
- Building safe, consistent, and trusting relationships
- Working closely with families, carers, and volunteers
- Helping deliver high-quality mentoring with positive outcomes
- Working flexibly (including some evenings/weekends)
What you'll need to bring:
- You care about children and young people
- You take a strengths-based, relationship-focused approach
- You value teamwork, inclusion, and learning
- Lived experience of care is welcomed and valued
- Full valid UK driving licence is required with access to your own car.
What you'll get in return:
- Training & development opportunities
- Opportunity to change lives through meaningful work
- Family-friendly policies
- Health benefits: HSF cash plans, physio & occupational health
- Free 24/7 Employee Assistance Programme
- £500 refer-a-friend bonus (T&Cs apply)
- Life Assurance & Pension
- Cycle to Work scheme
- Access to Concerts for Carers
