Your new opportunity: At Moray Carer Support Service, our aim is to improve the wellbeing of unpaid carers of all ages throughout Moray, to enable them to continue in their caring role, where appropriate, and support them to have a life of their own. We are on the lookout for two part time Family Wellbeing Workers to join our team at Moray Carer Support Service to improve the wellbeing of unpaid carers of all ages throughout Moray and enable them to continue in their caring role.

As a key support, you will encourage and facilitate opportunities where carers of all ages feel supported to have a life of their own. You will also work closely with potential volunteers, apprentices or students in areas of development while offering a positive experience for them to grow and support the service where needed.

Working Pattern: We have 2 part time opportunities available offering 18.5 hours per week. This is a temporary contract until December 2026. Usual working hours are 9am to 5pm but you may be required (on occasion and pre-arranged) to work outside those hours to meet the needs of service delivery.

Other Duties:

  • Managing referrals, assessment and support processes for carers.
  • Enabling for wellbeing and support programmes for individuals and families.
  • Facilitating inclusive opportunities to deliver a carer voice within Moray.

What You Will Need to Bring to the Role:

  • Reliability, flexibility and a positive attitude.
  • Ability to build trusting long‑lasting relationships.
  • Empathy and excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent team player.
  • Ability to apply transferable life experience and skills to support and enable individuals.

It is essential for the successful candidate to have access to a car as a level of travel will be required across a geographical remit.
