About Us

Quarriers is recruiting a Female Team Leader (Driver Essential) for our Cowdenbeath Adult Supported Living Service in Fife. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive team as we move towards a new digital care planning system. This post is female applicants only under Schedule 9, Part 1 of the Equality Act 2010 due to the nature of the support required.

About the Role

This is a 39‑hour post, worked over 5 days out of 7, including every second weekend and participation in the on‑call rota. You’ll work closely with:

  • The Project Manager
  • One other Team Leader
  • Our Admin Assistant
  • Support Workers and Relief Support Workers across the service

Being a driver is essential, as you will be supporting individuals across multiple locations.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting the Project Manager with service development and day‑to‑day operations
  • Leading, supervising and guiding staff teams
  • Supporting recruitment, induction and mentoring of staff
  • Ensuring financial procedures are followed correctly
  • Overseeing support plans, reviews, risk assessments and reporting
  • Promoting strong communication and supporting positive change
  • Maintaining Health & Safety and Adult Support & Protection requirements
  • Building strong relationships with supported individuals, families and professionals
  • Deputising for the Project Manager as needed
  • Working flexibly across days, evenings, weekends, sleepovers and on‑call

What We’re Looking For

  • SVQ Level 3 Social Care (or equivalent)
  • Willingness to meet SSSC registration requirements
  • Background in social care within a values‑led, person‑centred environment
  • Confidence in leading and supporting staff
  • Ability to communicate well and build strong relationships
  • Knowledge of social care frameworks, legislation and best practice
  • IT confidence, especially helpful as we move to digital care planning
  • Full driving licence (Driver Essential)
  • A supportive, positive, solution‑focused approach
