Bringing together state-of-the-art cryogenic facilities and an outstanding interdisciplinary team, we are developing quantum processors based on industrial-grade silicon chips, with the potential to radically transform computing power in areas such as materials modelling, medicine, artificial intelligence and more.

Our Marketing team is at the heart of how Quantum Motion shares its vision with the world. As a newly established team, we're building the brand, shaping the narrative, and creating compelling content that showcases our pioneering quantum computing technology. Working closely with Product, R&D, Business Development, and leadership, we translate complex innovation into engaging stories that inspire customers, partners, investors, and the wider quantum community.

We're looking for an ambitious, hands-on Communication & Events Manager to help shape the voice and visibility of Quantum Motion. As a key member of our newly formed global marketing communications team, you'll take ownership of everything from managing our (international) PR consultants and securing media coverage to delivering standout conference experiences around the world.

  • PR, Analysts & Communications
    • Own the day-to-day execution of Quantum Motion's global PR programme, working closely with our external PR consultant (UK-based) and Director of Marketing.
    • Identify and drive proactive media opportunities, manage press calendars, coordinate approvals, and ensure timely delivery of PR activities.
    • Coordinate media interviews and speaking opportunities, preparing briefing materials for technical and executive spokespeople.
    • Coordinate with key industry analysts on briefings and keeping them informed of Quantum Motion's progress.
    • Monitor and report on media coverage, campaign performance and industry trends.
    • Create compelling press materials, media pitches and thought leadership content, translating complex quantum technologies into engaging stories for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Global Events & Conference Management
    • Lead the end-to-end planning and delivery of Quantum Motion's presence at major international conferences, exhibitions and industry events.
    • Manage conference logistics including stand design and build, supplier coordination, budgets, timelines and event operations.
    • Oversee the global shipment of marketing materials, demonstration equipment and exhibition assets, including customs and international logistics.
    • Travel internationally to manage on-site event delivery, stand operations, staff schedules and ensure an exceptional visitor experience.
    • Work collaboratively with commercial, engineering and product teams to maximise the impact of every event.
  • Growth & Ownership
    • Thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment, taking ownership of projects and continuously improving the way we deliver PR and events.
    • Bring fresh ideas, a proactive mindset and a willingness to learn as you help build a world-class marketing communications function.
    • Play a foundational role in a growing team, with significant opportunities to broaden your responsibilities and develop your career as Quantum Motion scales.

A minimum of 5 years' experience in communications, PR, media relations and/or event management, ideally within a fast-paced technology, deep-tech or start-up environment. Proven experience working with and managing external PR agencies and media relationships. Excellent written communication and copywriting skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear, engaging content. Exceptional organisational skills, with experience managing multiple projects, deadlines and stakeholders simultaneously. A genuine curiosity for quantum computing, frontier technologies or advanced science, with the confidence to engage with highly technical subject matter. Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills, with a proactive, hands-on approach. Willingness to travel internationally to support major conferences and industry events. Experience working within the UK technology media landscape; exposure to EU and US technology media would be an advantage. Previous experience in a quantum computing, semiconductor or deep-tech scale-up. Experience planning and delivering exhibition stands, trade shows or large-scale industry events. Familiarity with international event logistics, including supplier management, shipping and customs. Experience working in a high-growth company where adaptability and ownership are essential.

Be part of a creative, world-leading team. Competitive salary and share options scheme.
