Quantum Light is looking for a world-class AI Researcher with a quantitative trading background to join a newly forming team. This is a foundational hire: you will lead our AI research on developing a quantitative investment strategy for VC.
What You'll Do
- Bring deep technical expertise in AI training — including model architecture, training schedule, objective functions, use of RL, etc.
- Critically evaluate and improve our existing pipeline.
- Apply your quant trading background to develop new sources of signal for VC.
- Build out AI quant research function as it scales.
Must-have What We're Looking For
- Track record of training complex neural networks for production — not just fine-tuning or applying pre-trained weights.
- Quantitative trading or research background.
- Good understanding of PyTorch internals, GPU architecture, quantization, performance tuning, etc.
- Great knowledge of modern neural network architectures.
Nice-to-have
- Track record of developing alphas that make money in a hedge fund.
- Experience with mid-frequency and cross-sectional trading strategies.
- Technical leadership skills.
